Requirements for Hiring a Driver in SuperCab Nigeria

To maintain safety, efficiency, and professionalism, SuperCab Nigeria ensures that all drivers meet the following requirements before they are onboarded. These requirements cover personal, legal, technical, and behavioral aspects to ensure the best service delivery.

1. Personal Requirements

Age: Must be at least 25 years old and not older than 55 years.
Residency: Must be a legal resident of Nigeria with proof of residence in the city of operation.
Health: Must provide a recent medical fitness certificate issued by a registered hospital or clinic.

2. Documentation

Valid Driver’s License: A valid Nigerian driver’s license, with no history of suspensions or revocations.
National Identity Number (NIN): Proof of identification with a verified NIN.
Vehicle License (if using own car): Updated vehicle registration and roadworthiness certificate.
Police Clearance Certificate: Demonstrates a clean criminal record.
Proof of Address: Recent utility bill or other documents showing the applicant’s address.
Bank Verification Number (BVN): For payment and verification purposes.
Two Recent Passport Photos: For identity records.
References: At least two references from previous employers or other credible sources.

3. Experience and Skills

Driving Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven driving experience in a professional capacity.
Navigation Skills: Proficiency in using GPS systems or digital maps for navigation.

Branding Compliance: Agreement to brand the vehicle with SuperCab Nigeria’s stickers or logos.

5. Behavioral and Professional Standards

Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact politely and professionally with passengers.
Appearance: Drivers must maintain a neat and presentable appearance.
Punctuality: Drivers are required to demonstrate a strong sense of time management.
No Substance Abuse: Drivers must undergo and pass a drug and alcohol screening test.
Communication Skills: Basic proficiency in English and/or local languages to communicate effectively with passengers.
Conflict Resolution: Ability to handle complaints or conflicts calmly and professionally.

6. Training and Orientation

Induction Program: All drivers must complete SuperCab Nigeria’s onboarding and training program, which covers:
- Customer service excellence.
- Safe driving practices.
- SuperCab’s policies and code of conduct.
- App usage and digital payment processing.

7. Compliance

Availability: Must agree to adhere to SuperCab Nigeria’s operational hours and availability requirements.
Zero-Tolerance Policy: Drivers must comply with SuperCab’s policies on zero tolerance for misconduct, harassment, or dangerous driving.
Performance Reviews: Agreement to participate in periodic performance evaluations.
